The Nigeria Police has opened fire on Shiite Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
The Nigerian police opened fire on the members of the Shiite Islamic Movement of Nigeria in Kano leaving several dead.
An eye witness said that the incident started in Tamburawa on Kano City when the police tried to stop the Shiite Muslim protesters in Kano that resulted in the killing of the Shiite members .
The kano- Zaria Road is completely blocked.
The Nigerian police have since deployed heavily armed mobile police officers in kano- Zaria Road.
