A woman was shot dead by gunmen in Aba, Abia State, on Wednesday, For resisting attempt to abduct her.
Mrs. Ifeyinwa Morah was shot by her assailants as she returned to her residence.
She was confronted by gun wielding men who had apparently laid ambush for her as she arrived from her husband’s gas plant located on the Aba-Umuahia-Enugu Expressway.
The hoodlums shot her at close range and jumped into her car Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and drove off.
People rushed to the victim’s aid but she died due to excessive loss of blood.
